About the Author

Firefighter Nick Comande, with no formal training whatsoever, took off to Africa on the spur of the moment to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, not just for himself, but to raise money for charity. He has traveled from Africa to Antarctica, facing harsh weather conditions, delays, a plane crash and illness as he tried to raise money for various charities. Follow him as he experiences new cultures, hardships, extremely low temperatures and his own personal highs and lows while trying to reach the top of some of the world's highest mountains. Nick Comande is a retired Firefighter-Paramedic living in Racine, Wisconsin.
